Good news for all graduate candidates who are looking for a stable government job in the Ministries and Departments of the Government of India, SSC has come up with bumper vacancies of approximately 17727 this year for Group ‘B’ and Group ‘C’ posts. This year, the number of vacancies has doubled from last year, therefore, you should apply online for the SSC CGL Recruitment 2024 exam without any second thought.

SSC CGL Recruitment 2024 Exam is a national-level recruitment exam which is conducted every year by the Staff Selection Commission (SSC) for recruiting eligible graduates for various Group B and Group C posts namely Assistant Section Officer, Assistant Enforcement Officer, Sub Inspector, Inspector, Executive Officer, Research Assistant, Divisional Accountant, Junior Intelligence Officer, Junior Statistical Officer, Auditor, Accountant, Postal Assistant, Senior Secretariat Assistant, and Tax Assistant. The online application window for SSC CGL recruitment 2024 is opened from 4th June to 24th July 2024.

Application fee for SSC CGL Recruitment 2024

The candidates have to pay Rs. 100/- while submitting their application form online at www.ssc.gov.in. Women candidates and candidates belonging to SC, ST, PwBD, and ESM are eligible for reservation and are exempted from payment of application fees. The last date to pay the application fee is 25th July 2024 (11 pm). The application fee has to be paid online through BHIM UPI, Net Banking or by using Visa, Mastercard, Maestro, or RuPay Debit cards only.

Eligibility Criteria for SSC CGL Recruitment 2024
A candidate must be a citizen/subject of either India/Nepal/Bhutan/a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African Countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania (Formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam to permanently settle in India

Educational Qualification for SSC CGL Recruitment 2024

Junior Statistical Officer:

8.1.1 Bachelor’s Degree in any subject from a recognized University or
Institute with at least 60% Marks in Mathematics at 12th standard level;
Bachelor’s Degree in any subject with Statistics as one of the subjects at degree level.

Statistical Investigator Grade-II:
Bachelor’s Degree in any subject with Statistics as one of the
subjects from a recognized University or Institute. The candidates must have studied Statistics as a subject in all the three years or all the 6 semesters of the graduation course.

Research Assistant in National Human Rights Commission (NHRC):
Essential Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized
University or Institute. Desirable Qualifications: Minimum one-year research experience in any recognized university or recognized Research Institution; Degree in Law or Human Rights from a recognized university

All other Posts:
Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized University or equivalent.
The candidates who have appeared in their final year of their graduation can
also apply, however they must possess Essential qualification on or before the cut-off
date i.e. 01-08-2024.
As per Ministry of Human Resource Development Notification dated published in the Gazette of India all the degrees/ diplomas/ certificates awarded through Open and Distance Learning mode of education by the Universities established by an Act of Parliament or State Legislature, Institutions Deemed to be Universities under Section 3 of the University Grants Commission Act, 1956 and
Institutions of National Importance declared under an Act of Parliament stand automatically recognized for the purpose of employment to posts and services under the
Central Government provided they have been approved by the Distance Education Bureau, University Grants Commission. Accordingly, unless such degrees are
recognized for the relevant period when the candidates acquired the qualification, they will not be accepted for the purpose of Educational Qualification. In case of the
candidates possessing such degrees/ diplomas/ certificates awarded through Open and Distance Learning mode of education , such candidates shall also produce approval
given to the University by the Distance Education Bureau, University Grants Commission for the relevant period at the time of Document Verification.
8.7 As per UGC (Open and Distance Learning) Regulations, 2017 published in official Gazette on 23-06-2017, under Part-III (8) (v), the programmes in engineering,
medicine, dental, nursing, pharmacy, architecture and physiotherapy etc. are not permitted to be offered under Open and Distance Learning mode. However, pursuant
to the Hon’ble Supreme Court Order dated 11-03-2019 in MA No. 3092/2018 in W.P. (C) No. 382/2018 titled Mukul Kumar Sharma & others Vs AICTE and others, B.
Tech. degree/ diploma in Engineering awarded by IGNOU to the students who were enrolled up to academic year 2009-10 shall be treated as valid, wherever applicable.
8.8 All the candidates who are called for documents verification will be required to produce the relevant Certificates such as Mark sheets for all years/semesters of
Graduation/ Provisional Certificate/ Degree of Graduation in original as proof of having acquired the minimum educational qualification on or before the cut-off date,
failing which the candidature of such candidates will be cancelled by the Commission. The candidates who are able to prove, by documentary evidence, that
the result of the qualifying examination was declared on or before the cut-off date and he has been declared passed, will also be considered to meet the educational
qualification. It is reiterated that the result of requisite educational qualification must have been declared by the Institute/ University by the specified date. Mere processing of the result by the University/ Institute by the cut-off date does not
fulfill the EQ requirement. In case of the candidates possessing equivalent educational qualification such candidates shall also produce relevant Equivalence Certificate from the authorities concerned at the time of Document Verification. However, final decision regarding selection of such candidates will be taken by the User Departments/Appointing Authorities concerned.

Selection Process For SSC CGL Recruitment 2024

Two years ago, SSC revised the selection process, and now only two-tier exams will be conducted to shortlist candidates for various Group B and C posts under the SSC CGL Notification 2024. SSC CGL 2024 Examination will be conducted in four tiers as indicated below:

Stage 1 Tier-I: Computer-Based Examination (Qualifying in nature).

Stage 2 Tier-II: Paper I (Compulsory for all posts), Paper II for candidates who apply for the posts of Junior Statistical Officer (JSO) in the Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation.

• All candidates who have applied successfully for the SSC CGL exam, will be assigned Roll numbers and Admit Cards for appearing in the Computer-Based Examination (Tier-I).

• Based on the marks scored in Tier-I, candidates will be shortlisted, category-wise, to appear in Tier-II and Tier-III Examinations.

• Separate cut-offs will be released separately for Paper-II of Tier-II (i.e. for the post of Junior Statistical Officer (JSO), and for Paper-I of Tier-II (i.e. for all other posts).

• Tier-II Examinations will be conducted for all the candidates qualified in Tier-I.

• In Tier II, all the candidates will be required to appear in Paper-I and Paper-II. However, only specific candidates shortlisted for the posts of Junior Statistical Officer (JSO) will be required to appear in Paper-II.

How To Apply For SSC CGL Recruitment 2024

Applications must be submitted only in online mode at the new website of SSC Headquarter i.e. https://ssc.gov.in.For detailed instructions, please refer to Annexure-III and Annexure-IV. Sample proforma of One-time Registration and online Application Form are attached as Annexure-IIIA and Annexure-IVA respectively.

All the candidates who wish to apply in response to this Notice and have not generated their One-Time Registration (OTR) on the new website (https://ssc.gov.in) will be required to do so as the earlier OTR generated on the old website (https://ssc.nic.in) will not be functional for the new website. Subsequent to OTR, the candidates can proceed to fill the application for the examination. Once an OTR has been generated on the new website, it will continue to remain valid for all the examinations to be applied for on the new website. The detailed instructions for OTR are given in Annexure-III to this Notice.
(i) Find a place with good light and plain background.
(ii) Ensure the camera is at eye level before taking the photo.
(iii) Position himself directly in front of the camera and look straight ahead.
(iv) Ensure that his face is fully inside the red rectangular area delineated by the
camera and that it is neither too close nor too far. It should cover the area fully and no part of the face should be outside the rectangle.
(v) Candidates shouldn’t wear a cap, mask or glasses/spectacles while capturing the photo.
