This scheme will enable 1 crore families to save Rs 15,000 crore annually and they will be able to earn income by selling the surplus power to the electricity distribution companies (DISCOM) of their area. This scheme will increase the facility of electrical vehicle charging. A lot of opportunities will be created for vendors to become entrepreneurs through solar panel supply and installation. Pm Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana 2024 Application Process
First of all go to the official website – pmsuryaghar.gov.in On the home page, click on the option Apply For Rooftop Solar.
First of all you have to register for which you will need these details: State, Electricity Distribution Company, Electricity Mobile Number, Email and Consumer Number After that apply as per the given steps.

Register in the portal with the following

Enter your electricity consumer number

Please follow as per the instructions of the portal

Login with consumer number and mobile number
Apply for rooftop solar as per the form
Step 3
Wait for feasibility approval from the Discom. Once you get the feasibility approval get the plant installed from any registered vendor in your Discom
Step 4
Once the installation is complete, submit the plant details and apply for net meter
Step 5
After the installation of net meter and inspection by Discom, they will generate the commissioning certificate from the portal
Step 6
Once you get the commissioning report. Submit the bank account details and a cancelled cheque through the portal. You will receive your subsidy in your bank account within 30 days.
What do you get under PM Surya Ghar Yojana?
Under this scheme, a 1 kW system will get a subsidy of Rs 30,000, a 2 kW system will get Rs 60,000 and a 3 kW or more system will get Rs 78,000. Under the PM Surya Ghar Yojana, applications are coming from almost all the states, but more applications have been received from some states.
